Universal Cinema presents: in conversation with Janicke Askevold and Lisa loven kongsli

Solomamma, which opened the 36th edition of the Tromsø Film Festival in the beautiful northern Norwegian city of Tromsø, is an unusual film that tells the story of a journalist named Edith who has had a child through sperm donation and now runs her family on her own. In her first feature film, Janicke Askevold creates a distinctive atmosphere which, while rooted in Norway, could take place anywhere in the world. Lisa Loven Kongsli, in the role of Edith, delivers a memorable performance. Watch Mo Abdi’s exclusive interview with Janicke Askevold and Lisa Loven Kongsli at the Tromsø Film Festival.
